Lockup occurred when direct connecting to Sony Bravios Display at 1080p@60Hz. I don't think it's specific to the crestron system. I'll try rolling back one of the devices to 1.7.1 and maybe swapping out the chromebox for an intel nuc on another.
I've been having this issue since 1.8 came out. I naively upgraded both of my Asus Chromebox M004U to 1.8.0 instead of just one at a time. Both started locking up immediately. Generally, they lock up either immediately on boot or after a few minutes of sitting on the main screen.
I use a Crestron DigitalMedia AV system for my whole house to distribute audio and video. I initially assume that the bug was that my IP keyboard was locking up (python script using uinput) but then after a couple weeks of this happening I realized that the clock on the PHT was frozen and that it was the entire app that was locking up and not just input. I was able to jury rig my remote/python setup to kill PHT on a keystroke and it would auto-restart and that worked as a work around.
Playback of media is just fine but something is happening while browsing libraries and library content that's causing the app to lock up.
I haven't been able to find or locate log files to make any sense of the lockup.
I found another user having the same issue in a plex forum post https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/269402/openpht-locking-up-when-browsing-tv-or-movie-libraries-on-intel-nuc
It does seem that if I connect it to a different TV, that it doesn't lockup... but then again, that TV is doing 1368x768p@59.79 instead of 1920x1080p@60 like my crestron system is doing.
OpenPHT: 1.8.0.148-573b6d73, skin OpenPHT, OpenPHT-Embedded-1.8.0.148-573b6d73-Generic.x86_64 PMS: 1.5.0.3501 on Ubuntu
I'd love some advice on how to collect more information that can help triage where this is going wrong.
