Rasplex doesn't play external subtitle files from Plex Cloud #267

Hello,

When I try to play a movie from Plex Cloud that has a subtitle file (*.srt) inside the same directory as the movie on the cloud storage, it doesn't show the subtitle. Before you start your movie you are able to see the external subtitle file and are able to choose it. After you started your movie with the selected external subtitle it does not show. If you open up the controls screen at the bottom it states no subtitle selected. When you open the menu and select the subtitle again it still doesn't show.

If more information is required feel free to ask.

I'm running latest preview release of Rasplex on a Raspbarry PI2

I don't use Plex Cloud myself so I'm not entirely sure how it''s supposed to work, but depending on how it's implemented the inability to use a subtitle file stored in the same place as the video could be an issue with the Plex server rather than the Plex client (since it's the server which passes video and subtitle data to each client). To clear that up it would be useful if you'd try playing the same movie using some other Plex client on a normal PC or Android/iOS device, and report the results here.

If it really is a problem with the RasPlex code, then it's likely to also affect the OpenPHT client for PCs, since they are based on the same source code. But if you get the same problem also with other Plex clients, that would indicate a problem with the server implementation of how cloud-stored subtitle files are accessed.

I have tried the feature with the Plex web player and it did successfully show the subtitles that were in the same directory as the movie on the cloud storage.

What I also have seen btw is that when you try to adjust / sync the subtitles to show them sooner or later the bar will move and the feature is working but with the bar it shows the number of seconds / milliseconds and that number will always stay on 0.000
