TV remote stopped working #299

Hi!

I’ve been using Rasplex for several years. Recently (last week or so) it stopped responding to my TV’s remote and I thus had to use the iOS app to control it. It’s extremely annoying and I’m thinking of downgrading. Is there an easy way to downgrade without flashing the entire SD card? I have a few server applications running on there that I would like to avoid setting up again.

I’m using 1.8.0.148-573b6d73 (latest stable version). My TV is some model of SONY and the remote is a SONY RM-ED047. The same thing happens on Raspberry Pi 2 and 3.

Same here with Rasplex on Pi3 and Samsung LE32C530

This issue disappeared for me one or two weeks ago. I suspect RasPlex has updated itself and the new bundled version of OpenELEC fixed whatever was wrong. I'm closing this for now, but if you @imitto still has this issue just respond and I'll reopen it.

If someone have the same problem, here's the solution: unplug the tv's power cabel for 5 minutes. Since then it works again.
