Hello Team,

here are an Issue with OpenPHT on all my Systems. ChromeBox, OSX and Raspberry Pi...

Issue: During Playback an Movie or TV Show some times the Playing Stops, after a few secons Plex jumps back to Movie Overview. can´t find any context to an special movie or timecode... It occures with PMS 0.9.17 and 0.9.17.1. My boxes are all with attached Network. No buffering or shuttering problems during Playback.

In log i find many Error Messages:

plexhometheater.log.zip Plex Media Server.log.zip

Regards Massaguana

EDIT: New log with Debug output plexhometheater.log.zip

Can you check in newly released 1.6.1 and advise.

Massaguana commented 8 years ago

sure, test´s are running... the update for ChromeBox is not yet availlable...

Kwiboo commented 8 years ago

Since 1.6.0 (LibreELEC 7.0) you can use the img.gz file to upgrade, just place OpenPHT-Embedded-1.6.1.120-4ab39d17-Generic.x86_64.img.gz in /storage/.update/ and reboot.

Okay, it looks good. The last 2 Days there are no Problem´s...

Massaguana commented 8 years ago

hmm, no Playback Stop´s... but extrem long "caching" some times... with normal playback no problems, but when you are jumping often during playback some times the status "seeking" changes to "caching" and still there for 30seconds or longer, normaly there are no delay. Ca fin the same ERROR and WARNING Messages in log... plexhometheater.log.zip

Massaguana commented 8 years ago

Find something in oPHT and PMS logs...

PMS: Jul 01, 2016 09:31:58.369 [0x7fdd4b3ff710] ERROR - CERT: Error in TLS handshake: short read

oPHT: 09:31:57 T:140439239776000 WARNING: CCurlFile::FillBuffer [http://127.0.0.1:32400/library/arts?sort=random&X-Plex-Container-Size=50&X-Plex-Container-Start=0] failed: Couldn't connect to server

Okay, news... same issue with OpenPHT for OSX (10.9.5)... Syncronized to OpenPHT-embedded...

very strange that it occurs simultaneously on 2 different systems... but no error´s in PMS log... only connection timeout messages...

Hi Massaguana,

You requested the issue closed, did you find a resolution to this issue - im experiencing the same issue. Im running version 1.6.2 on rasberrypi.

I also tried to re-image on another sd card, same issue.

regards

Can you update this issue with logs from 1.7.1 if its still a issue please.

alaorath commented 7 years ago

I recently switched to OpenPHT Embedded and may be experiencing the same issue (or related). I'll run some tests and prepare a set of "clean" logs for consumption.

In my case, the only fix is to power-cycle the box... no input works, and PHT does not recover on it's own. I also cannot ssh in once it's frozen.

alaorath commented 7 years ago

@dan-the-man-nz I would gladly attach logs if I knew how... Here's a link to my google drive with a sample: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwD0UWci-5MxTENJMEhEX0FyLXM/view?usp=sharing

Symptom Details: Each time, the only recourse was to hard shut-down the box (by long-pressing the power button). After reboot, playback resumed and appeared fine, until the next freeze.

In all cases, the symptoms are the same: complete loss of sound, and picture freezes. No input (both keyboard and remote via FLIRC USB) had any effect.

Version details: OpenPHT-Embedded (official) Version: 1.7.1.137-b604995c OpenPHT-Embedded git: 426d013ca31699962c79f0437498811d93f89c97

For the logs attached: we were watching Community S2 E12. Playback stopped twice during the show (and once in the previous episode).
