Other details

Everything works fine in the vanilla Tachiyomi app, so it must be a problem with this fork. I also tried installing it on my old tablet, same issues there. Also, a friend who has been using Tachiyomi OCR until now without issues said that he is now experiencing the same behaviour, but the extensions that are already installed work fine.

I am posting it here and not in the extensions repository since it's not an issue connected with some particular extension but inability to install any of them.

Wanted to leave a comment here as I wanted to use this tool a lot for learning Japanese through Manga.

Unfortunately since the author here is far too busy or lost interest in the project, I've come across something that is most likely as good as it's going to get

On Tachiyomi, download your favorite manga through its various extensions.

Open up OCR Manga Reader and navigate to the Tachiyomi/downloads folder where the saved .cbz file is stored.

It can read Tachiyomi's .cbz files from the actual app Manually select OCR boxes, rapid translation via sentence/part cycling similar to JGlossator Long-clicking the OCR detected text can bring up a DeepL popup to better translate it.
