Do we need to update code for Lion? (Short answer: no)

This tech note says that Lion uses a different plug-in model and changes are 
needed, but I am pretty sure mine and most other AU's do work under Lion 
despite this. Ought to investigate.

After several hours of research I think we can safely say that this tech note 
is like the cake. A lie. I honestly don't think a word in it is true. My bet is 
that they changed their minds in the last minute, when they realized how poorly 
this change would go through, especially at such a late minute.
