CRAN issues raised #398

Please correct before 2024-10-05 to safely retain your package on CRAN.

It so happens that we were already working on this and are ready so the release next week (see eg #395 ) will cover this.

I responded in email pointing to #395 and the progress we had been making, and got a friendly follow that the build on macOS arm64 was tested by them too via a git checkout and submission to mac-builder. Nice.
