Recent issue; The panel with the logo, can't seem to find all the saved session #102

When I go on the sessionsync, I click on the first tab with the logo, It doesn't appear to show all my saved session on the left panel. This problem occurred while I was trying to save the session before closing firefox.

I tried to see if the problem would go away after starting firefox, however, it seem to be the same problem.

I guess it's a little bit counterintuitive but the first tab with the logo should just show the active session in the right panel. image

  1. First Tab (icon) - active session in the right panel (the one that you can save and it will appear in 2.)
  2. Session Tab - saved sessions (as bookmarks) - highlighted in the image
  3. History tab - auto-saved session (simple history)

From what I get, maybe the second tab does not work no ? All your sessions are not visible anymore ? I assume that in bookmarks you can find them, though? You can find them in Bookmark Manager (CTRL + SHIFT + O)

P.S there seems to be an issue with upgrading to Firefox 85, some people noticed that the addon does no longer work. But the actual culprit is Firefox that somehow messed up with user profile. The addon works properly, but you might need to uninstall it, restart firefox and then install it again. Please try this method first.

I may have found a solution to my problem, Running on FF nightly firefox 87.0a1, There wasn't any problem prior.

This may be due to the excessive amount of session saved, in which case it was not appearing on the first tab. I manually deleted bunch of session entries in specific sessionsync folder. This lead to fix the problem, its working as expected

I have noticed on thing, it does take longer to go into UI where its not populating all those session entries right away Here a screenshot of what I am talking about, maybe it will give you a clear idea. SessionSync_appearing

Btw, This is one great addon I cannot live with, Thanks again for the wonderful work!

The number of sessions should not affect the addon. I tested it with hundreds of sessions and works just fine. The only thing I can think off, if there was any issues with some specific bookmark, though I don't get how reading the name/description would trigger an issue 🤔 Glad that you somehow managed to fix it. I know that didn't update the addon for a while, but you know, if it works it works (I mean when Firefox doesn't create stupid issues). I can't live without it myself, I use it daily for sure :D. Of course there are a few things/features (or a lot) that would be great to be available once I have more time to work for it, but for the time being, it works and will do for a long time.

P.S Sadly most of the issues that people report are not caused by the addon itself but by the corruption of Firefox profiles after certain updates.

It is very weird, I haven't had any problems prior. In my experience with add-on, it has been stable with saving session that are 3 windows totaling of all 2900 tabs open. It could have been other factor, but will monitor what triggers it

I feel the same way let it run as it is, as long it is not breaking. Today what I see most often with quick incremental build that leads to a lot of issue with other addon extension, What can I say, it is some perks that comes with new release every week.

I mean who doesn't like more feature added, however, sometimes I think, it needed to be tested thoroughly with other stuff runing on the browser.
