GameSessionService.SearchSessions is used for public match search.
It does search the specific game modes and those filters are put as arguments into m_parameters under some yet unknown IDs.
Reproduction:
first player searches for Racing, second searches for Team or Takedown

they will find each other:

the will not find each other
Also there is some random inability to find to sessions leaving you in infinite Searching (sometimes they can connect to each other - so this is not a NAT punchthrough problem)
