Continuation of issue #110 (and more) #114

Browser: (Chrome 109/Firefox 116)

Method: (Extension)

Online store version and language: (Desktop) (it-it, en-us and ja-jp, probably applies to ALL languages/regions)

PSDLE version: 4.1.4

Monkey variant: (None)

Is Catalog enabled: (Yes)

Problem:

This is a continuation of an issue (#110) i tried to report on August 2023, but eventually gave up and deleted the conversation (however, i made a backup for future reference) and even my account.

This issue started happening on early July, 2023, because of some specific downloads made on that date.

Starting a download of any content on PS3 or Vita (not PS4 or PS5!) doesn't cause problems in the Download List on the respective consoles, but the problems appear when using PSDLE.

Basically, the downloaded content moves to the top of the generated PSDLE list, and lacks a lot of information previously available, like it was "eaten away" or something.

At first, only 4 contents had that issue, but after i tried redownloading some old content i got more than a decade ago, that content also moved to the top of the list. Only because i simply tried to redownload it.

The situation is as follows (for all the items at the top of the list):

platform = PS_PLUS_REQUIRED prettySize = N/A prettyDate = The date of the last time the list was generated. For example, if i last used PSDLE on August 9, 2023, prettyDate will be August 9, 2023. If i use PSDLE again on December 23, prettyDate will be December 23. And so on. api_icon = Blank (the Icon from the actual PSDLE extension is "Page undefined") base_game = Blank date = Blank dateUnix = Whatever appears under prettyDate (August 9 is 1691535917, obviously... oh and btw, it's the same for all the items at the top... they share the same date down to the same hours/minutes/seconds) indexRaw = see indexValid indexValid = assuming the issue happened, the items at the top of the list are in reverse order and start from beginning. I have more than 11000 entries on PSDLE, and from top to bottom, in normal conditions, it goes like this: 11000, 10999, 10998, 10997 (sometimes skipping numbers or some are in slightly wrong order but whatever) etc... but the "problematic" entries go like this: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6... if there are 9 items, it goes up to 9 and then it goes from 11000, 10999, 10998 and so on...) pkg = Blank platformUsable = same as platform (PS_PLUS_REQUIRED) plus = Blank (even if the item was obtained from PlayStation Plus) productID = Blank publisher = Blank size = Blank URL = "https://transact.playstation.com/en-us/product/undefined" vitaCompat = No (even if the content is an actual PlayStation Vita game/DLC!)

"name", "icons", "id" and "index" are the only ones with correct information.

All the missing information was absolutely available before this problem started happening, as i have old copies of the exported PSDLE list (sadly, not in "raw" format)

The problem is definitely not happening with PS4 or PS5 content.

Again, the respective Download Lists on PS3 and Vita systems are unaffected, and respect the actual dates the contents were redeemed/purchased.

The problem happens across all regions i've tested (Europe/Italy, USA, Japan)

How to replicate:

Download anything from a PS3 or a Vita (the older, the better), wait a couple of minutes/hours, use PSDLE, see if there are old items at the very top of the list with all the missing information. Doesn't matter if it's from the Store app itself or the Download List.

Other notes:

Now, WHAT I WROTE ABOVE WAS ORIGINALLY FROM AUGUST, 2023 WHEN I ORIGINALLY OPENED THE ISSUE.

On December, 2023, almost 6 months after the first time i saw the issue, it disappeared from my PSDLE list. Everything was in correct position, like nothing ever happened. First, on my EU account, then, on my US and eventually my other JP account, too.

However, on January 22, i had to redownload several themes/games on PS3 and Vita, and guess what? Everything moved again to the top of the PSDLE list.

But this time, at least for my EU account (again), the issue solved by itself YESTERDAY. Three weeks after the last time!

Is there a way to stop this from happening?

I still have the old screenshots but i think they're obsolete now.

Anyway, the problems don't stop here. There's more.

I don't know if it has anything to do with the aforementioned issue or what, but all PS3/Vita content have their names translated in English no matter what the Store language is.

For example, my EU (Italian) list used to have names in Italian (not all of them, of course, some games/addons didn't receive localizations), and now they're ALL in English.

The Japanese list used ideograms, and now they've been "romanized" or whatever it's called.

I would post a longer list but the order is slightly different from before and after the issue (not that it's really important anyway)

Names already in English are unaffected.

These are just few examples:

ITALIAN ACCOUNT:

Need for Speed™ Hot Pursuit Pacchetto Armati e pericolosi Need for Speed™ Hot Pursuit Pacchetto Porsche scatenate

ENGLISH:

Need for Speed™ Hot Pursuit Armed and Dangerous Pack Need for Speed™ Hot Pursuit Porsche Unleashed Pack

And again:

JAPANESE ROMANIZED:

BLEACH - Heat the Soul 6 -(SCEJ) Mugen Tag Sensyuken(SCEJ) Mugen Tuiseki Gokko Saisyuusen(SCEJ) Saikyou Taikyuuryoku Taikai BLEACH SOUL CARNIVAL™ 2 Special code (SCEJ) BLEACH Soul Carnival Character unlock

Also some names are completely cut, or have their names replaced with serial/region codes.

The issue appears on the following columns: "name", "baseGame" and "publisher".

And again:

- the Download List on PS3/Vita is unaffected - this doesn't happen with PS4/PS5 content

This makes searching for certain items harder, at least for me.

That's it for now.

EDIT 02-22-2024: as of today, even the list on my US account fixed itself. Again, this is only for that problem with entries stuck at the top of the list, not the one about translated text. Will report again if JP account fixes itself again, too.

EDIT: 02-23-2024: while i have nothing new to report about my JP account for now, i can confirm that the whole issue about translated languages is the same as issue #105.

EDIT: 04-01-2024: again, my JP account is still stuck with those PS_PLUS_REQUIRED items. I have something else to report though. As you probably know, you can make a request to download all your PSN account info by going to the PlayStation website/webstore, then under Account Management/Account Settings (whatever it's called), Privacy Settings and then there should be a button to make a request. After a couple of days (should happen within 24 hours most of the times though) you should be able to download a .zip file at this address: https://id.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/id/management_ca/?entry=dl_personal_info inside the .zip file there's a Excel spreadsheet. Now, under "Transaction Detail", there's your transaction history. Well, the issue number #105 is not happening there. Everything is in its proper language. Weird.

EDIT: 07-09-2024: like i wrote on issue #116, i'm not sure if the two things are related, but using v4.2.1 solved my PS_PLUS_REQUIRED problem with the JP account, for the second time in a full year. The "Missing translation etc. etc." thing is still happening on all accounts though.
