@jsta, @rougier: "because I feel that working through code supplements to blog posts has really helped me learn how to science." seems to be missing a few words.

maybe: "because I feel that working through code supplements blog posts and has really helped me learn how to do science."

Your wording makes more sense for publication. I think my original writeup was in a GH issue thread so I wasn't paying much attention to grammar.
