1 year ago I just had the same issue. ReVanced Extended by inotia00 doesn't seem to work as a source for ReVanced Manager 1.3.x but it works fine in ReVanced Manager 1.2.0. So if you are trying to install ReVanced Extended by inotia00, use ReVanced Manager 1.2.0 rather than the latest version.
I just wanted to post this to confirm to everyone that this solution works, using ReVanced Manager 1.2.0, if your goal is to use ReVanced Extended by inotia00. Maybe at some point in the future ReVanced Extended by inotia00 will be compatible with new versions of ReVanced Manager again, but for now it is not.
If you just want to install regular ReVanced from the default sources, you can just use the latest ReVanced Manager and this is not an issue.

1 year ago I tried ReVanced Manager 1.2.0 and it didn't work. I'm unable to use Inotia00 to patch either YouTube 18.17.43 or 18.27.35. Could you share the version of YouTube you got to work?

1 year ago If you want to use inotia00’s patches, which are not compatible with the original Revanced Manager anymore, it is probably best to use inotia00’s fork of Revanced Manager, called RVX Manager, which is designed to use those Revanced Extended patches instead of the regular Revanced patches. Older versions of Revanced Manager don’t work quite as well with newer patches anymore.
You can find this RVX Manager fork at https://github.com/inotia00/revanced-manager. It tries to keep up-to-date with this original Revanced Manager while being compatible with and designed to use the Revanced Extended patches instead. It is called RVX Manager after you install it and can exist as a separate app from the original Revanced Manager on the same Android device, and doesn’t conflict with it, so it is possible to have both installed at once.
This is just for people who want to use inotia00’s Revanced Extended patches. Regular Revanced patches work best with the original Revanced Manager. The latest release of RVX Manager is at https://github.com/inotia00/revanced-manager/releases and is RVX Manager 1.4.3.
I suggest using inotia00’s patcher if you want to use inotia00’s patches. This Revanced Manager here is mostly just for the official Revanced packages and others that are 100% compatible with official Revanced patches. If you use inotia00’s fork of Revanced Manager like I do, using the RVX Manager fork makes things easier for the Revanced team who will no longer need to try to provide support for something that is incompatible with their software.
I currently have YouTube 18.25.40 patched with Revanced Extended. It was the suggested version when I patched it and the patching process works perfectly with the default list of patches in RVX Manager. Currently the recommended version of YouTube in RVX Manager is 18.27.35 so I am sure it works too.
If your patcher and patches are both from the same source (either inotia00’s forks or official Revanced), and are fully updated, and you select the default patch list, and you use the recommended version of YouTube for Android from APKMirror, the nodpi version, things should work fine.
Also I strongly suggest that if your phone is not rooted, you need a compatible microG to use a patched YouTube. Inotia00’s microG https://github.com/inotia00/VancedMicroG is no longer maintained, and is an archived repository. So I use cuynu’s microG from https://github.com/cuynu/VancedxMicroG which is actively updated and is forked from inotia00’s microG. It seems like the only actively maintained microG designed to be used with YouTube Vanced, Revanced, Revanced Extended, Vanced+, etc. You can also patch that microG along with YouTube in RVX Manager to change its icon and stuff. The patches for it work fine.
Also inotia00’s microG seems to still work for now, too, despite being archived back in April and no longer updated. Cuynu’s microG says it is meant to be used with Vanced+ and will probably stop working with Revanced and Revanced Extended in the future but I still use it for now because it’s actively updated and still works for now. If it ever stops working like it warns about, I will switch back to inotia00’s microG or another fork of microG that still works with both Revanced and Revanced Extended. I prefer using stuff that is actively developed rather than old versions since then bugs get squashed.
But anyway Revanced Extended has its own RVX Manager also from inotia00 now, which is designed specifically to work with it. So if you want to use those patches, use the corresponding patch manager from the same developer to ensure compatibility. And for people who want to use regular Revanced, use the corresponding regular Revanced Manager too.

1 year ago Thank you very much for that superb response. RVX Manager finally solved my issue. It seems that the latest Inotia00 patches just won't work with ReVanced Manager 1.2.0 or even 0.5.7.
