Sorry for opening a duplicate. Guess my search fu is not up to snuff currently 😊
Just gonna copy/paste from my duplicate feature request, as I there had extra ideas that I would like to see implemented if this request is implemented 😊 Pasted from my duplicate:
Issue YouTube's aggressive ad polices implemented since the start of the covid pandemic is the reason I started blocking all ads. Before this, I'd watch ads on videos from creators I was subscribed to, in order to support them. In YouTube Vanced, I'd keep the adblock feature disabled, for this reason.
Patch I'd like to have a "selective" adblock feature, where I can allow ads on videos from creators I'm subscribed to.
Because the ad logic is so intrusive, I'd like for there to be extra settings to micro manage which and how ads are shown. At a minimum, disallowing preroll ads. Other niceties would include setting a maximum number of ads, making all ads skippable, and setting a minimum duration between ad segments.
Motivation I don't believe I'm alone in wanting to support creators I like by watching a few ads, and blocking all ads because Google have become so aggressive feels wrong somehow. For me, at least, Revanced is about so much more than blocking ads, and even if the regular Google YouTube app allowed me to block ads, I wouldn't use it. Adding a feature to allow a sane amount of ads to support creators would make me feel much better about watching YouTube in general.
This feature DOES NOT exist. I don't understand why all feature requests get closed.
At least say, "we don't want to implement it" so there's a reason.
Showing a skip button is not a solution. It means you allow ads everywhere just to support a few channels.
It is not closed as you can see by the green label above.
Cool! Thanks.
So it's still in the works.
You might want to put priority on this because starting from a few weeks ago content creators are being punished because the viewers are using adblockers. And I don't mean punished as in not receiving ad revenue from those users alone. I mean like 80% of revenue is cut because a few users are adblocking. So they're asking users to turn it off.
I suppose that installing regular Youtube is a workaround in the meantime. Not very elegant though.
