This'd require a fork of MicroG/Vanced MicroG, since MicroG uses WebView for the log-in page. WearOS doesn't support WebView.

It could be either done with: Emulating requests and using native components (Most likely easier to maintain) After an user logs in, it sends the e-mail, session token, name, username, etc. to the watch itself, so the MicroG logs in automatically.

(There was a "fork" (closed source) of Vanced MicroG that did the second thing, it was on XDA and it still works.)

Any chance on adding the patch and using the vanced micro g mentioned above?

CLosing due to being too nieche.

kaxlabs commented 10 months ago

It's not really that niche; especially with Google Podcasts shutting down and a lot more funding going towards YouTube Music to replace it.

YouTube music can be run on your phone and controlled over a smart watch. This is nieche.

If you're working in a job that has a no phone policy, native media controls on a watch are unreliable and don't allow you to select what to listen to.

This is kinda where I was going with it. But oh well
