i still using SoundCloud instead using of Spotify, but after Covid-19 Pandemic begins SoundCloud they just adding ads after playing the music and it's not removal ads unless you buy a subscription (SoundCloud Go/Go+) or uses older version of SoundCloud without ads.

Patch

a patch that remove SoundCloud ads domain and ads after playing a music that not removal unless buy a subscription or using older version without it.

Motivation

seems no one making a request of SoundCloud, aswell not sure does anybody need that patch to continue support listening the music of the creator.

On a related point, an IOS mod developer recently published an open-source patch to remove ads on the IOS version of soundcloud, could be an interesting starting point, due to the likely similarities in code design between the IOS and Android versions.

I'd be very happy about it, too. A simple adblock used to be enough but the apps behaviour changed recently and it now pauses after skipping an ad.

I could find a few modded APKs but I just don't trust them like I trust revanced.

A few suggestions adding to this:

• remove ads
• unlock go content if possible
• remove upgrade nav button and profile hint
• change default startpage
• download option similar to YouTube -> NewPipe
• layout options for feed like list view
• filters and filter groups -> only show certain artists
• option to hide homepage sections
