perf: Migration to angular 6 #327

Migrate to angular 6, rxjs 6 and material 6 for latest and greatest features.

Related issue #326

Changes:

  1. Migated to angular 6, rxjs 6, material 6 as per upgrade guide
  2. Upgraded node to v8 for travis as 7 is no longer supported
  3. Removed slash from ngswConfigPath path in angular.json
