Add Series to top level, same as Authors and Books, and handle multiple authors in a serie

There is no Serie handling on top level, only under Authors. Radarr and Sonarr has serie and collections as a top level menu item. While the existing serie feature in Readarr is great, and really is one of my key wants (to be able to grab new books in my old favorite series :) ) But only having the serie under the authors name, breaks if:

Author is misspelled (This has been explicitly told to me fix it in Goodreads)
Author has been writing under alias before, and now goes back to original name
Author added Spouse/partner name to his and hence writing under new name/alias
An author unfortunately passed away, and a new author took over and continued to write the serie
A serie is beeing contributed by numerous different authors.

Describe the solution you'd like

Have a top level Series entry, where all series will be displayed, as well as

Have the normal Edit funtions
See which serie has missing books
When checking a serie, a list of all books in this serie is displayed, irrelevant of which author wrote that particular book

Describe alternatives you've considered

Well, My calibre library has the serie name correctly, since I put it in there when I imported each book.

I fully understand that the current version of Readarr can not handle this, possible due to database limitations. But, for future improvements, I would think that this would be a good improvement. When I read a book serie, I want to read the serie, and don't really care about the author. Would be devastating to find out that my beloved serie has another 5-10 books in it, but readarr don't know that since a new author took over (possible original author passed away?)
