Issue

we are planning to set up secrets in our github repository to ensure continuous deployment of our code.

List of secrets required:

• Environment: Staging (would run when the code is merged on develop)

  DISCORD_TOKEN
  DISCORD_APPLICATION_ID
  DISCORD_GUILD_ID: 
  DISCORD_PUBLIC_KEY
  FIRESTORE_PRIVATE_KEY
  FIRESTORE_SERVICE_ACCOUNT
  CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN

• Environment: Production

  production(main):
  DISCORD_TOKEN
  DISCORD_APPLICATION_ID
  DISCORD_GUILD_ID: 456
  DISCORD_PUBLIC_KEY
  FIRESTORE_PRIVATE_KEY
  FIRESTORE_SERVICE_ACCOUNT
  CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN

Steps to create a CFW API token

• Log in to your Cloudflare workers Dashboard.
• In the top right position click on the user icon.
• Click My Profile.
• In the left panel click on API Tokens.
• Click on the Create Token button. (you can also use an already created API token if you have one)
• Select the Edit Cloudflare Workers Template.
• Leave the permissions as it is.
• In the account resources, select your account.
• In the zone resources select all zones. (or any specific in case you need a specific zone)
• Now, Click on the Continue to Summary button.
• Finally, click on the Create Token button and copy the API token.

Steps to get firestore credentials

• Download the service account configuration JSON file from firestore
• FIRESTORE_SERVICE_ACCOUNT is the value of the client_email key in the JSON file
• FIRESTORE_PRIVATE_KEY is the value of the private_key key in the JSON file
  • please replace all the /n with enter/return keys and then save it in the GitHub secrets

Steps for setting up the discord credentials

• DISCORD_APPLICAION_KEY is available under the general information of your bot.
• DISCORD_TEST_GUILD_ID is the guild id of the discord guild (test server) we want to use the bot in.
• DISCORD_PROD_GUILD_ID is the guild id of the discord guild (actual server) we want to use the bot in.
• DISCORD_PUBLIC_KEY is just below the application id
• Now click on the bot in the left panel and grab the token for your bot, you may have to click on the reset token button.
• Save the token as DISCORD_TOKEN in GitHub secrets.
