I have FiltaQuilla (v3.6.1) installed as an add-on, but other than the add-ons list, I cannot find any reference to it. There are no buttons to add to the toolbar, there are no menu items anywhere. None of the screenshots in the documentation look remotely like what I have on my screen (themes notwithstanding). It's stealthier than a black cat on a moonless night during a blackout in a coal mine!

I've removed it, restarted, re-added it and restarted again. All my other add-ons work fine. What is the trick to make it visible?

Once you enable the additional actions / search terms in FiltaQuilla, then they will be available from the drop-downs in the edit filter dialogs.

open Add-ons manager, find filtaquilla settings and press the "wrench" icon:

Enable what additional methods you need:

note - if you remove actions you may have to restart Thunderbird to see the result - the filter service does not offer a method for removing them at runtime.

Now edit a filter (or create one using quickFilters Assistant). You will see the additional options in the dropdowns on the left:

That's where you lose me. I do have a few things checked in the FiltaQuilla settings and I have a Quick Filter button and bar: image

but I don't see anything like what you are showing. E.G.: image image image image

Where do I find FiltaQuilla?

Thanks.

That's not what I meant I was talking about the Add-on quickFilters, which makes message filters visible and creating new filters easy. Unfortunately Thunderbird named that field similarly. On how to use quickFilters, here are some videos.

With quickFilters the following buttons can be added to the toolbar to make the built in Thunderbird filters interface more accessible: image

You can also create filters fully manually via the main menu - tools / message filters...

PS: one of the reasons I created the quickFilters Add-on was the because the filters interface is kind of hard to use, compared to Outlook. So I created the quickFilters Assistant which can create that filter for you after moving an email manually (or tagging it).

After Kent James had to retire from FiltaQuilla development out of health reasons I took over his Add-on because it is kind of related.

Ah! Now, I understand.

My only suggestion would be to update the FiltaQuilla documentation for numbskulls like me. 😄

Thanks!
