Feature Request: Persist QuickFolders button state upon restart #422

I use Betterbird 115.4 with the QuickFolders Addon.

I only use QuickFolders sometimes, not everyday. For this reason, I often disable the QuickFolders toolbar to have more screenspace and have a less things in the UI that distract me. Unfortunately, when I restart Betterbird, the Quickfolders toolbar is active again, but I want it still to be disabled.

So to reproduce:

  1. Have QuickFolders installed
  2. Click on the Quickfolders Button on top (to disable the QuickFolders toolbar)
  3. Restart Betterbird

What happens:

Toolbar is enabled.

Expected outcome:

Toolbar is disabled.

This was actually by design, because quite a few users will think that QF is not working anymore if they restart and no toolbar is shown. But we can add that as an "opt-in" feature on the advanced features page.

Thank you. As long as there is some kind of option to not make the toolbar mandatory upon restart, that would be good enough. I usually remember what addons are installed and how I can enable and disable them, but yes, I fear my mother would not be able to keep up, so your argument is fair.

(By the way, the shining outline around the symbol distracts me, because it makes me want to click the symbol. To me, it almost resembles a notification. Especially, since all the other buttons in that toolbar do not shine.)
