Quick Filter (QF) is a great tool and a big time-saver. But there is one issue for people such as myself whose memories are no longer reliable.
When QF is deactivated, the app does not place the cursor on the most recent email at the top. Instead, the list of hits remains until the user manually scrolls to the top.
Eventually - after an hour - I remember to scroll back up to the top of the email list. I might then see several important emails which arrived just after activating QF.
I think you may have the wrong thing - quickFilters is not the same as "Quick Filter". quickFilters is an Add-on that helps creating filter rules - the main interface is the assistant button which activates filter creation mode whenever you move an email manually:
Consider sorting your emails in chronological order (newest on the bottom). When I am done with work I never have unread emails in my inbox. Most of my unread mails are in subfolders, and it takes about 4-8 minutes in the morning to jump through them using the [N]ext unread mail. I also recommend using the "Copy Sent to Current" Add-on so that your replies automatically stay within the conversation (whether inbox or any other folder). New answers to the thread will move it to the bottom again.

REQUEST: The deactivation of QF should cause the cursor to be placed on the MOST RECENT email.
Thanks
