check whether it has the "archive" flag set:

(archive folders are omitted by the algorithm)

I have the same issue (and no FolderFlags add-on). First time it's happened. Using Supernova...

can you create a debug log please - In order to see what is happening during the problem you can use the "debug mode" on quickFilters advanced settings:

once you activate Debug Mode, right-click on the Debug Mode option - this will open a window with additional switches for logging relevant detail:

extensions.quickfilters.debug.createFilter = true extensions.quickfilters.debug.buildFilter = true

Next, you can open Javascript error console using the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+J and then configure as follows:

1 enable the first three items: Errors, Warnings & Logs 2 click on the settings icon (top right) 3 disable Show Content Messages, Timestamps and Group messages.

Then reset the content of the error console with the top left button "Clear Console output":

If you can reproduce the problem, as soon as it happens, you can please copy the complete contents as text - via right-clicking any message:

Select "copy all messages" - this will copy the log into the clipboard from where you can insert it into your support email to me. (Screenshots of the error log are not so helpful because I cannot search their text efficiently.)

Many thanks for your prompt response, appreciated. A note: I think I used the Assistant once before on this version and it seemed to work as usual, but the filter was not added in alphabetical order despite my settings.

Has this been resolved? Still unable to activate filter assistant when moving emails. Yes filter assistant is on. Running Supernova, 115.6.0 (64 Bit)

no it hasn't but I can also not quite reproduce it - if I drag mail to a folder in the tree, the assistant gets triggered here. I have to keep trying ways to make it fail.

This problem makes the whole addon worthless. How do I go about getting a refund?

mail me directly, but it is core functionality and needs to be fixed. FOr now, you can create the filter after moving by right-clicking the moved mail and the clicking "create filter from message" - it starts the same workflow. Can you try that?

according to the log file the very last thing that happened was activating the assistant, then ... absolutely nothing?

can you true also enabling

extensions.quickfilters.debug.msgMove = true extensions.quickfilters.debug.msgMove.detail = true

these will add events whenever you drop en email to the folder tree or when using the command handler. Are you moving the email on the first (3pane) tab of Thunderbird or somewhere else?

I am guessing here - Is this related to local folders? Just had a report at #235 where I posted a new version that fixed the problem. I will create some more test cases here with local folders (and virtual folders) and then post a new version here as well.

if it still fails, at least we should see more detail in error console (provided debug mode is enabled)

To install version above download zip file and drag the file into Thunderbird Add-ons Manager (do not extract contents, it won't install like that)
