Hello, for me is still attracted only to the light level. When I use a tractor mit no compacting too. A light compaction remains, whether with a plow or cultivator :(
I already tested with all mods disabled, but is there perhaps a known conflict with a mod, whitch make problems by just have it in the mod directory? errorlog is clean. Mod-List-Log.txt
@s4t4n As far as we know there are no mod conflicts. So we need your help here. Please try a fresh savegame without mods and verify that you can decompact soil. Then you can add mods (e.g. 10 at a time) so find out what mod conflicts with SC.
I did it already. no change of the issure. Tested with just SC, DC and season. Are the GroundTextures matter for the functions? It should be only for the optical ground or?

Are you sure you have downloaded the latest version of SC?
Also are you sure you view the resulting compaction in the Map Overview with only Needs Plowing activated?
What I mean, has the Ground Texture files (ground_diffuse.dds etc.) any impact to the functions of SC or backwards? Because I think, those are just relevant for the optical.
I've the newest version installed for sure.

You mean the option, which en- or disable the funktion, need to plow after 3 times ? It does'nt matter, I can adjust it On or off, it's ever the same.
Nr. 4 is plowed No. 26 plowed and cultivated No. 5 to 8 are seeded. No. 3 is a grasfield with a line.. a stripe in the middle plowed. No. 2 was a test without SC.
Hello, I´m having the issue, that the cultivators don´t decompact.

I have only this mod in the mods folder. Started a new save on Goldcrest Valley.
My observations: Scenario: Field 14, harvested field, "needs plowing" dark red.

I think the FS17_Ground_Modification mod is in conflict with RM_soilCompaction... gm with sC and sC with gm.

hello i am also having a problem. tine cultivators and disk cultivators seem mixed together, i have option given to change depth (shallow, deep) for the Lemken Gigant disker and Koekerling Allrounder though one is a disker and the other is a tine cultivator as well. no cultivators change the compaction of deepest red soil, only second level compaction they change. subsoilers and ploughs work good though for loosening deep red soil but not rippers like the horsch Terrano (which doesnt get the option to change depth so i believe its a ripper?) and as well i cannot seem to change modes between shallow and deep for any tools when the option is given. i have tried changing my buttons (tool function 4) to confirm i am pressing the right one but nothing is working they are stuck at Shallow, also, this mod is not compatible with More Realistic because the tools are changed slightly and will not have the option to change depths sometimes even if they should (maybe need to add deep cultivator lines into MR XML files manually?)
Sorry for the long post and bad english as i am not a native speaker but thank you for making this mod i hope it is fixed soon this fills the gap that soilmod left in LS17 and i am very happy to see this mod being made

for me seems since the last update no changes. It's still not possible to remove the light red compaction. :(
We're currently enjoying our holidays so development is on lower priority for a couple of weeks already. I will notify as soon as we continue looking at this problem.

I've been reading over the last couple of comments. Regarding to the light compaction reappearing:
It's weird I know.. but as soon you go over the field with the cultivator twice it doesn't decompact anymore.. it just adds compaction because the decompacting only works on uncultivated fields.
For example: Plough -> no compaction Drive over it once -> light compaction Cultivator (shallow) -> no compaction Cultivator (shallow) -> light compaction
So it's known and we're trying to find a way to solve this "issue".
About disk cultivators.. we don't have an option for that. It's a shallow cultivator by default. The bug for changing depth should've been fixed some time ago. Also only problem with MR as far as I know are the tire visuals when changing pressure since MR also changes the wheel graphics.
