This is caused by the same issue that is making all enemies more reactive than normal.
So, is there already a solution for that other issue?
Not yet. I'm going to put in a full bug report later today.

This is fixed in the current GZDoom codebase. Development builds from github only, unfortunately.
I think something has changed about the attention calculation. The guards instantly see you as soon as you leave the first cell.
Same issue for C3M0_B by the way.
