[3.2] [Chapter 3] Issues #863

I swear this was the last time I am testing Blade of Agony. I seriously can't help playing it over and over, it is not good for me at all... Here is the last portion of the report for 3.1, a full C3 playthrough.

Important Issues (for fixing ASAP)

If you start a new game with screenblocks 12 (empty HUD) or other non-default value, then the widgets have incorrect offsets (this also happens without score.pk3 loaded):

10 you can kill yourself with grenades within the ending sequence (all player actions should be disabled, righ)

05 panzershrecks still can't be picked up to add 1 ammo (similary to what has been done with flamethrower when I encountered it)

The ones that are dropped from enemies are empty, since enemies drop weapons with half ammo amount, and 1/2 is rounded (below, as always) to 0. By the way, I remember that one of the playtesters also noticed it a few months ago and wanted to change it, but the team [No]'d it. --N00b

07 when I shoot someone in this room, he gets alerted, also a guy right next to him, but other in THE SAME room not

08 when I entered here and start shooting, all command was alerted, except those scientists at the front  why, is it by the lowest skill

09 I know it is a stealth mission, but any of those technicians here does not react until the are shoot directly in their backs

10 again, here noona gets alerted until directly shoot, even in front of everybody

11 if I don't approach by stealth tactic, it shows more kill than it should

These four last checkboxes are an eternal problem of C3M5_C, present for at least a year... --N00b

06 I know, occult stuff and so  but this is clearly wrong ;D

Raising gamma on screenshot indicates that there are a radio and a cup below the table (they should be moved onto it). --N00b

07 if you are killed in action, this HUD on right up corner is not loaded, you have to turn it on again

08 sooo  on a lowest skill there is 11 everywhere; even here; is here should be more, like 75 for example -- this should cost you the most if I am not mistaken

03 we need a ally blocking line here, ascher is sightseeing again

What's the right choice here? What lineflag blocks allies but not monsters or players? --T667 (26th June 2021)

Sadly there is no such flag, in C1M0 you used 'block monsters' near the bridge area. This is not fixed easily, moved from urgent issues --N00b, 01 Jul 2021

All soul passages are now exactly for 11 souls.

This depends on the game's skill level. On Mein Leben it was IIRC 75 souls (you played on Mein Leben more recently, so you know better), and on easier ones it is less.

@MuadDib90 1) I confirm this... The glitch will still be present after my commit, but the player will be able to un-stuck themselves out of there without switching noclip. Knowing the GZDoom portal code, it seems like an engine bug honestly, I doubt we can do much more to prevent it happening at all. 2) I thought this was fixed long ago, I might have reported it myself... Anyway fixed. 3) @Tormentor667 What is your opinion? Note that we also still have the phrase on C3M1_A.

@MuadDib90 Russian string is way longer than English and Czech ones, but the problem is also present with them (this is gamma correction 2.0):

I thought the "goodbye" text would wrap automatically, since the text for the dialogue options in the C3M0_A conversations are wrapped automatically (I think?).

Does anybody have updates on the remaining issues here? Especially important are the boss (and also tank gun) sound volume, culled models which fail to reappear when player approaches them too fast, and the endgame problems (grenade suicide possibility in C3M6_B ending, VM abort at CREDITSM ending).

@AFADoomer If you start a new game with screenblocks 12 (empty HUD) or other non-default value, then the widgets have incorrect offsets (this also happens without score.pk3 loaded):

@AFADoomer Update on countkill problems on C3M5_A: it seems to happen because of medics reviving PlagueDocs near (-7934, -8089). When one is revived, the kills statistic decreases, but the total kill count also increases, so this creates the discrepancy.

Regarding barbed wires on C3M1_A, you can jump over mid-ones intentionally, they are short. Btw fixed all scale values since some mismatch with back sizes, now removed 1.2-1.4 for better height and maybe avoid some jump over. Also the issue with zyklon gas comes from culling system @AFADoomer .

For minimal graphics settings and steam related actors, I have set steam cvars always ON for all configs, but still it can be disabled via special effects options.
