Description

I updated Windows 11 to 23H2 build 22631.4169 yesterday, and then updated Rectify11 from v3.1 to 3.2.

Now my Windows Explorer is unresponsive and displays nothing being blank or transparent (see attached screenshot). I cannot do anything with the explorer windows, I can't even close them.

Task Manager is also completely empty and displays no processes.

I have read on the FAQ that this may be a problem with MicaForEveryone that can be fixed on older versions of 32H2 by disabling File Explorer, however I have the latest version of 23H2 (to my knowledge), and when I tried this it seemed to do nothing.

I have also updated UltraUXThemePatcher to 4.4.3 which stated it was unpatched after installing Rectify11, but this has made no difference.

Is there any solution to my problems? I am unsure where to obtain any logs, and am not sure how I could even get to them without Explorer, but if someone can inform me I would be happy to provide them.

Thank you.

Steps To Reproduce

Install Rectify11 v3.2 on Windows 11 23H2 build 22631.4169.

Rectify11 Version

3.2

Windows Version

I had the same issue. It appears that some parts of the UI are transparent or black on a black background using the dark themes. I was able to fix it on my system by switching to one of the built in Windows dark themes.

I tried to uninstall Rectify11, but the uninstaller does not work. Using the installer, I selected uninstall and that made my entire PC unusable. It was doing some sort of loop trying to start Explorer, going to black screen, then back to trying to start Explorer. I had to use a restore point to fix it.

I am already using a Windows dark theme unfortunately. I don't think we have the same issue exactly, but your problem does sound just as bad!

Did you try the latest Rectify11 installer action builds? I think the installer you're using pretty outdated as Microsoft makes Rectify11 on that 3.2 release more buggy mess.

Oh no sorry I haven’t, I didn’t realise there were any. I’ll try and do this later tonight!
