2 years ago Damn, for everyone who might find this post throught google search: 1) Use discord - you'll find all bugs and solutions there. 2) If you're too lazy to use it and have the same problem as me: download and install all damn Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables from 2005 to whatever is newest from Microsoft offical site and this error will go away.
I tried finding the solution to this on web, but no luck. 1) I have fresh legal install of IWD2 from GOG, version 2.0.1.0 <- excatly the one needed for IEex. 2) No, I don't have antivirus running, because I don't even use any antivirus. 3) No, it's not Windows defence neither, I disabled UAC and everything is run with admin rights. 4) Everything installed correctly, there were no errors, IWD2EE.exe and all these dlls appeared normally. Whenever I launch IDW2EE.exe it gives: "An error occured whilst attempting to inject IEex.dll." error and then nothing happens and I actually have "Icewind Dale II" process running, which I must manually stop in Task Manager after that. I can launch the game using old IWD2.exe (yes, I know I should not do this) and it actually works, but it's bugged as hell and crashes during character creation (it's normal). Searching this error did nothing - there's nothing like that on the web. I only learned that game version must be 2.0.1.0 (exactly the one I have) and there can be problems with anti-virus (I don't have it).
Are there any other requirements before installing EE? Do I need to install some graphic patches before or are they included? Because when I launched the game through old .exe - the main menu was a mess, may be it's ok, since we're not supposed to use it, or may be I lack something?
