Notes from a meeting with event designers (5/24/22):

• Summit Boston 2022
  • No set color key but some sort of color coding is good to have
  • Drupal has a limit of ten entries in one disclosure component.
  • Omitting time in disclosure would just leave empty space on left
  • Sometimes entries will pull speaker name automatically, which requires extra proofreading for name duplication.
• About current XD link:
  • This XD isn’t a layout that’s really used. More of a working file to make agenda look consistent with design system.
  • Can’t add links or add paragraph tags for speakers/session descriptions in the current FTS agenda pattern, which can be limiting
  • Needs to be flexible enough to work for single-day and multi-day events. Multi-day events may have an additional agenda builder.
  • Pop up feature is good for session abstracts or speaker info
  • Having a title next to the speaker name is helpful.

Feedback from Adam Thornburg for implementation in Drupal:

This is more a note for the development but the current abstract and speaker info section in drupal are not flexible. You can't add bulleted list, line breaks, links, etc. I would want this section to be WYSIWYG editor.

Yep, I did one for a simple agenda on mobile and one with nested events.

Designers for events prefer to have the location and description always visible for T1 events' sessions. I'm working on options for showing event descriptions.

Collapsed agenda accordion shows location now

I've added a version of the agenda for T1 events only. Event designers said that they prefer an agenda that shows all the info without accordions for T1 events because the agenda doesn't usually show a lot of info, and content will not differ much from event to event.

I added an example of a session with a long title and tags to page 2 of the latest XD link and mobile examples for the regular event agenda and the T1 agenda. Screenshots at the top of this issue are up-to-date. Event designers said this looks good to them.

Keeping open for now. Will need to revisit once it's a priority, possible in coordination with Events page updates.
