Quick Start Review

Introduction

During the last year we have started a great project called the 6 products demo. It was supposed to demo the complete jboss-based middleware stack. At the end of last year this code base was used for a customer demo with great success.

In 2013 we are looking forward to re-ignite the 6 Products Demo. That means, that we have to review everything from scratch, adjust the roadmap to include new technologies for example (fuse, polymita) etc.

Task

Please review and revise the getting started documentation where you see fit. The following locations are used to get started with the project quickly.

there is a new spec document available as well

So as you can see there is quite some material that has to be reviewed, and new content has to be created. Consider yourself being a complete newbie to the project. Where are obstacles, which part of the documentation needs to be reworked, etc.

After that do it.

Project Report

Please send a report by Friday January 11th with the accomplished goals.

I moved version 2 of the specification (which is the latest version) from docspace into github. I did some adjustments to this version. I also did some changes in the How to get Involved docspace page. This was mainly to point out to newcomers to look at github for all documentations to this project.

Question: Will it still be called 6 products demo, after adding Fuse? Since the name suggests we are demoing 6 products.

Would it be straight forward to just remove the 6? And name it rhpd so that it can cover a generic amount of products?
