Breaking change in RHOAI 2.9: Update to Kubeflow Pipelines v2 #29

RHOAI version 2.9 introduced a breaking change in its pipeline orchestration. Specifically, the underlying Kubeflow Pipelines component has been upgraded from version 1 to 2, which affects:

the workbench and pipeline runtime images,
the backend pipeline execution. Specifically, the previous Tekton backend has been replaced by Argo Workflows, which means OpenShift Pipelines is not a dependency anymore.
The KFP SDK usage since SDK version 2 has also introduced incompatible changes.

The impact on this course is as follows:

the workbench and pipeline runtime image references have to be updated such that compatible images are being used,
all references to Tekton have to be rewritten in compliance with the Argo Workflows usage,
the SDK examples have to be rewritten.

This course will not be updated. Will take your notes and input on the new version and keep you posted.

Will keep this open, but will not fix in the version.
