@MeirShpilraien yes, it floods the logs with spam otherwise!

The configure script changes got caught in the commit. it allows you to build in another directory.. and is a backport from master)

@mnunberg those the configure script changes effect something in the build? Is it safe to merge to 1.4?

100% safe; they don't affect the build at all
