Approval process on Chocolatey is manual and mentioned version was reviewed for more than a month. No kidding.
What problems does Chocolatey solve for you?
RESP.app is shipped with auto-updates for couple of years now, so I just don't see any value in Chocolatey. If there is something I'm missing please point it out.
If the Chocolatey version is shipped with auto-updates that are guaranteed to be forward-compatible, then it's probably all good. In that case I'd suggest to make that an official statement (at least on the Chocolatey page, but preferably also on other pages), so that all users can rely on it instead of having to make implicit assumptions and research everything. Thanks for the context, the Chocolatey approval process sure is a black-box.
Software distribution is sadly getting more complex each day and, at this rate, we're forced to make mistakes or waste time, so it goes a long way if we're able to do the initial installation via something like choco without any worries. That includes the support of standard uninstallation after any auto-updates.
