Issue description

FunnyGameDev seems to have issues with using bitmap fonts in the engine. I think it would be wise to talk to him/her and get them working.

I hear this is a huge need that has gone unaddressed for a long time by the Godot maintainers. This would be a solid win for Redot if implemented, encouraging more game devs to make the jump!

I came to this repo to create this issue! I think it'd be a huge win to get this done. I don't have twitter, but ideally someone would drop a message to the person that made the comment and ask them to create the issue here.
