Found a workaround. (on the remote) Click 1x up to have the left menu show up Then I can use the settings menu just fine.
Going back then is easy, too. Click the home button on the remote.
Same problem - open settings from the home screen and it will show the old settings interface with no options to select from. Have to click home button to get anywhere else
This happens if FiredTV was launched from the settings menu, in this case you can't go back. If FiredTV was launched from the home button, everything is fine.
Yes @schlamar. But on a fresh FireTV start you have to start this app via the settings menu, right?
No. Not on 1.0.3. But in this case I'm seeing still this issue, so my observation is not quite correct...
The problem seems to be related to the Settings menu being the last thing 'opened' before FiredTVLauncher started. I don't believe there is any way I can work around this, luckily as someone mentioned pressing 'up' seems to work. I'll show a toast message to tell users they may have to press up when they open settings.
After installing FiredTVLauncher for the first time and start using it, I wanted to go to see the settings again. So in the new homescreen I clicked settings, it got me right there but I cant move in this new screen then. To go back (to the launcher) I have to press the home button on the remote.
Using v1.1.0.
