similar to the below but generated from real model data for a specified transect and without the dimension lines.

It probably makes sense to use some vertical exaggeration otherwise it will be very flat - could just let the plot auto-scale or could specify vertical exaggeration as an input parameter.

Need to handle situations where:

[x] There is no lagoon, only beach and cliff
[x] There is a lagoon but no outlet channel
[x] There is a lagoon and outlet channel

Maybe should also handle?

[ ] The upstream end of the outlet channel is inline with the transect
[ ] The downstream end of the outlet channel is inline with the transect
[ ] Both ends of the outlet channel are inline with the transect
[ ] The river is inline with the transect
