Disable Alerts #247

Many of the alerts are extremely obnoxious, would greatly appreciate mod settings to allow us to choose what alerts we actually want to have instead of having to deal with all of them. Having literally hundreds of alerts beeping every two fucking seconds seconds as turrets fire, alert low ammo, reload, and repeat this process every second is incredibly aggravating and far beyond what is needed.

It's a great mod, but it's almost unusable due to this, without turning off alert volume, which is undesirable because some alerts are actually important to hear.

The alerts are generated after the settings are, making it impossible to make this happen automatically; are you having an issue with specific alerts, or entire categories?

The 'ammo low' alert will spam itself tens of times a second when decent amounts of turret defenses are being attacked, and it recurs as they're loaded and consume ammo again. It's incredibly loud and drowns out the entirety of the rest of the game. I had to go into the files and mute the alert volumes to be able to play the game. It's not simply a volume issue, it's also a obnoxious noise clutter at any volume to have an alert spammed as much as it is.

TBH, if it's not possible to make the alerts toggleable by setting, you should probably split them off to a child mod, since having obligate noise clutter paired with content mods is probably not great,however potentially useful.

I am going to focus on the 0.18 update first; structural or content changes are secondary to that.

get 2 sec clip of silence rename it and replace the alert sounds with it
