Item Extraction Node's Extraction Node doesn't do anything #2149

Even when properly linked, the extraction node does not take any items out of a chest and into the extraction node. I'm trying to make an automatic sorting machine using the extraction nodes but they just do nothing. I've tried with a filter set, a filter not set, piping items towards the node with a hopper but nothing works. Insertion nodes work great but the extraction won't pull items into the hub chest.

I have used them many times with no issues; however, I always had the hub connected to an ME system. Does that make it work for you?

Just tested in creative and it does work with the ME system. Is there a way to extract without using one? Trying to set up multiple inputs to all lead to one chest for jet fuel automation.

I need to find out why it only works with ME systems.

It uses the same code as the Casting Delegate and RC Autocrafter, and those do work with connected inventories.
