I just finished setting up the installer but I can't drag the mod into the installer or open the folder.

If you're working with .zip/.rar/.7z files, try dragging mods onto the titlebar.

In any case, what do you mean by 'open the folder'? I'm not particularly sure; a screenshot can help.
