Fan Control overrides Windows 11 volume control #1663

Describe the bug When I open the the app it maximizes the volume in windows. It doesn't seem to matter which audio device I have selected. I'd rate this issue pretty high since it could damage someone's hearing if they are using headphones.

Is there a log.txt file next to FanControl.exe with recent date entries? No

Relevant hardware specs and setup Windows 11. Logitech G560 speakers.

That's a first. First time seeing this. My guess is that those are USB amplified speakers? Maybe of one of the many HID device scan in LHM triggers a reset on the usb device and somehow they get reset to max output?

I think you're correct in that they are USB amplified speakers, but I'm not sure if it matters as it still happens if I unplug them.

I don't see anything weird in Libre Hardware monitor. No USB devices for instance.

The only thing I can think of is if something doesn't work the way it should with windows 11.
