Hi @shotgunanaconda,
In the interest of providing some hopefully effective troubleshooting advice I would suggest.
Checking your system uptime (Task Mgr, Ctrl - Shift - Esc(ape), Performance tab, CPU, at the very bottom. In my case 8:15:19; eight days, fifteen hours and nineteen minutes) as by default Windows 10 has "Fast Startup" enabled and it is more of a pain personally.
Providing more detailed Operating System (Setting application (which can be accessed via the start menu, aka Windows key and then searching for "About" with no double quotes.)) and hardware information e.g.
I would also suggest making a copy of the current config folder (Configurations) to somewhere more accessible e.g. your desktop.
Thanks for the tips, pretty sure its a software thing but here's the spec for reference:
Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13600K 3.50 GHz Installed RAM 16,0 GB (15,8 GB usable) Intel i5-13600k nvida 3060ti MSI Pro Z690-A WIFI DDR4
I experimented with removing the config and putting them back, i think it's something with the Cache filder. removing that has for now solved the issue but will see if it comes back.
If it is not DNS then it is caching.
My fingers are crossed that your issue does not reappear.
Hellom I believe the latest update has made FanControl unresponsive. I see my charts and fans, but they freeze and get stuck at a temperature. Pressing edit, settings menu or any other action such as manual control does nothing. I've tried redownloading, running as admin, rebooted but nothing really works. I haven't changed settings or curves, so its very odd.
There's no log.txt file to share but attached my fan config.
