V183+V184. No RPM sensors detected #2388

Fan control has been flawless on my machine for a long time until V183 and the subsequent V184 update a few days ago.....No RPM sensors detected for any of my case fans. (Only CPU GPU) All fans are Noctua PWM on motherboard headers.(set to PWM in bios) (MSI mobo) (10th Gen i9) (MSI4060GPU) Windows11, Dotnet is latest version) I have tried the assisted setup a number of times to no avail. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Fan control net8.0 via the installer package and the portable variant 4 or 5 times. Am I doing something wrong????

same here, Fan Control worked perfectly but since an automatic update to 184, it won't detect any fan sensors anymore. I tried refreshing and reinstalling, nothing worked. All fans showing "no speed sensor". Help please!

FanControl can work without any fan speed pairing. V183 now just highlights fan pairing status with the new label at the bottom of the cards. They wered added to steer the user towards pairing his fans by clicking on the label. Functionality wise, nothing changed, your config will work the same as before. You should pair your fans though :)

I will try again!!! But it seemed to me that all fans were paired automatically previously.

Attempted again last night. CPU fans paired, GPU fans paired. But as for case fans nothing I try works. Previously they were all paired and working with full control from within Fancontrol. But now nothing, I am unable to control manually. Something changed with the V183 update!!! All fans in the system were paired with full control within fancontrol for at least 2 years. What is strange is that my windows 10 machine at work took the V183 and V184 update with no issues fan control still works perfectly on it!!!

Having the same or similar problem. After the update one of my RPM Sensors stopped working. Always showing 0 RPM Calibration leads the the error that no speed sensor is found.

When i turn the Control of the Case Bottom Fans on again it shows 0% and 0RPM image

Any ideas?

UPDATE I checked the wiring and realized that i made some hw changes around the release of 183 because of fan rattling noise. Missed the 4PIN Plug of the Y-Cable. Stupid mistake and coincident. Fixed the wiring and everything is working again. image

My issues have been solved!!!!! Updated MSI mobo bios and chipset drivers ect. Re-ran the assisted setup in fan control and all sensors detected. Fan control working perfectly again.
