A few updates back my case fans did what i wanted, but now even trying to manual control them to turn off, they refuse to go under 600RPM.

Are you able to identify which version? https://github.com/Rem0o/FanControl.Releases/releases

Also, show the fan control config you got for that fan.

I'll troubleshoot different past versions, not sure, i want to say it was a few months ago, before the rapid fire updates i feel the app got.

As for config userConfig.json

Ok, i tried older updates and same thing, idk what happened, i used to be able to turn my fans OFF but now no matter what, flat curve, manual control, i can't turn them down past 600 rpm

For some reason it considers 0% to be 500-600rpm

Any chance you had your headers set to DC before, now they are PWM in the bios?

Ill check but i haven't touched bios since using the app. I started using it in January. I was able to have no case fans on until recently where the lowest they go is 600 rpm.

However before using this app i used the asus armory app. And its fan controller. I Uninstaller them used this one.

I checked bios and its an asus mobo. Which uses Qfan. It was on auto detect. Should it be on pwn or dc?

Rem0o commented 3 weeks ago

PWM doesn't always support 0 rpm. DC does always in my experience.
