Unexpected error message wont go away #2534

Describe the bug I have been using FanControl for a couple of days. Today I'm met with a dialog box that says "an unexpected error has occurred and has been added to the log file". Clicking OK or Cancel has the same effect: the dialog box closes, but opens up immediately again. I can't find a way to make this error go away.

Is there a log.txt file next to FanControl.exe with recent date entries? log.txt

Relevant hardware specs and setup I have a CPU fan, two case fans and a GTX 1660 Super.

Did you update your GPU driver? If so, restart FanControl.

The problem doesn't show itself today.

I haven't installed new GPU drivers in about a week. The driver is version 552.44 on Windows 11 Home. I've installed a new 2.5 GbE NIC.
