Proper format to stream ambisonic audio in AVPro #1169

Hello,

In your documentation, it is stated that: ''The video files must be using a MKV file container and audio must be using the Opus codec encoded with Facebook Audio 360 tools.''

However, it seems that the Facebook 360 Tools are now deprecated: https://facebookincubator.github.io/facebook-360-spatial-workstation/

And Facebook will no longer provide support for these tools. Is there any other solution you suggest to have ambisonic audio with AVPro?

Hi @Renaud-Hoppin , thank you for your message. We are investigating various options of suitable alternatives at the moment and will post an update as soon as we find one that we are happy with.

Do you have any news about this?

Currently, many of our customers request to have our app support ambisonic audio. How can we play ambisonic audio with AVPro now that there is no way to obtain the requested audio format?

I'm sorry, there is no news on this I'm afraid. We're a very small team, so have to plan carefully how we spend our time.
