Hive Heating & Cooling Thermostat #4

I recently installed the Hive integration, it logs me in fine & finds my hub but cannot find my thermostat. I have the Hive Heating & Cooling Thermostat, I think this is newer in the US. Upon checking the UK site, it isn't available there. So maybe its only available in the US?

Is there anyway to add support for it?

Hi @xdmate We have been working with someone else in the US with getting the US version of Hive working. With the next release of Home Assistant we should be at a stage where the Thermostat should get added to Home Assistant. There is still some work to enable the cooling functionality, plus all temperature values are assumed to be in Celsius

Hey @Rendili, thanks for the quick reply. I'm pretty new to Home assistant in general, I was previously using Home Bridge. Is there somewhere I can see the upcoming versions of Home Assistant?

Also, thanks for getting it working in the US. I'm excited to mess around with my Thermostat. Let me know if you need anything from another person in the US. :)

@xdmate , sorry for the delay, I am very busy at the moment. With the latest release of HA there has been an update which could help with the US version, has it made any difference to your setup on the latest HA version?

Hey, don’t worry about the delay, I realize life happens! I’m just the curious type, that’s why I asked.

As for the latest release, I haven’t noticed any difference to my setup.

Hi @xdmate Just trying to catch up with the latest regarding the US implementation as I might have a bit of time to take another look. What is the current status of Hive in HA for you at the moment?

Hey @Rendili,

Currently the Hive Hub shows up in HA, no problems. As for the thermostat HA doesn't acknowledge it's existence lol.

hi @xdmate are you on the home assistant forums? if so would you be comfortable with sharing with me an output of your api json response with Hive over a person message?

I am unable to hive to show up in my HA, i've followed the installation but nothis shows, anyone help
