Assembled the final Review page of the Create feature, and connected the remaining pages with React Hooks to keep track of user progression
There's been some prolonged conversations on designing the scoring and matching algorithm for the app, but we have collectively decided on a design choice to match students based on one or more key-value matches
Next Sprint we will be focusing on assembling the user authentication and building up the Profile page so that users can log into their profile, edit their information, and view their existing job postings. Moreover, we will be setting up our database where our job posting and user information will live.
Helped assemble the Feedback component, and page, making use of selectors to dynamically grab random data (temporary), and functions in order to calculate what would be passed into sub-components and rendered as posting feedback to the recruiter.
Helped develop the Student & Matches actions and reducers
Developed the Contact Details page in React
We will be modifying the student schema to accommodate the job posting information, that has now been setup to be grabbed via hooks
Next Sprint will focus on incorporating the Feedback component into the review page, setting up appropriate dispatch, optimizing the filter functions to work appropriately, as well as designing scripts to generate a student database. In addition, I shall assist with any other tasks (database, editing information, login, viewing postings, etc.).
this sprint I handled installing redux and conducting a tutorial for the team.
I created the job posting reducer and actions related to the job posting create pages
I refactored the create job posting pages by creating a Create parent component that passes in the job posting data object to all create pages via props
I refactored the first two job posting pages to use react hooks and handle state by updating the job posting object
I created the job details page
In the next sprint I will work on completing the front end functionality and connect an express and node backend to the front end with redux
Built re-usable components (i. authenticated header and ii. footer)
in collaboration with another team member, created student reducer and actions
in collaboration with another team member, created job matches reducer and actions
in collaboration with another team member, worked on the feedback page, which uses selectors (to the backend of the site) to display student-match related information
next sprint will be working on incorporating job posting information, integrating such information via dispatch to the feedback page
will be creating programs to generate new student objects based on collected survey data
