Suggestion for integrating doorbell portion of DB1 #74

I, and it seems many others who love your integration, are still looking for the ability to monitor the doorbell on the DB1. I was wondering if this made any sense ...

The EZVIZ can integrate with Alexa (and I think Google Home). Is it possible to use this integration to pass the doorbell press back into your integration?

I have personally tried google home integration it only makes the video stream feed available, not the doorbell button trigger. I'm playing now with the IFTTT integration.

:-( I guess I'm going to have to use or make something that will detect my mechanical ringer and send an mqtt code to HA.

Only solution found by someone to capture button press is listed here with (based some DNS logs): https://community.home-assistant.io/t/onvif-doorbell-ezviz-db1-hikvision-ds-hd1/248318/13 (https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/new-rca-hsdb2a-3mp-doorbell-ip-camera.31601/page-296#post-502958) Didn't try this myself so far.

I was a bit disappointed to not see this feature available. Prior to owning the EZVIZ DB1 video doorbell, I had a basic RF as a doorbell that allowed me to send notifications to my tvs and mobile devices when someone pressed the button. That method does not, ofcourse, allow me see who is at the door nor does it allow me to communicate with that person, but it was very reliable in alerting me on multitude of devices. While the ezviz app does have its own in-built notification approach, it is a little clunky and inconsistent. I would love to see a binary sensor introduced for when the ezviz DB1 door bell is pressed.

What i did its not ideal but works better for me then the pihole dns option. i placed a xiaomi vibration sensor on the doorbell buzzer not the ezviz chime but old one with de powerbox setup and used it as doorbell trigger en even setup my DB1 through HA to work with homekit intergration but i can hear the person standing at the door but not talk back. but i also can not talk back with onvif firmware on my DB1 with something as blue iris so i dont think talk back will ever work for this model except if you using ezviz or hikvision original app of software.
