RensAlthuis / vertical-overview

Gnome has had vertically stacked workspaces for a long time. The Gnome 40 update unfortunately made the switch to a horizontal layout. A choice that many Gnome users disagree with. This extension completely replaces the new Gnome overview with something that resembles the old style.

Release with Gnome 43 support #118

Fedora 37 just released with Gnome 43, they have packaged gnome-shell-extension-vertical-overview-9-2.fc37.noarch but sadly it says the version is not supported. Looks like there is no official release yet that supports Gnome 43.

I did edit /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/vertical-overview@RensAlthuis.github.com/metadata.json by hand and that works, but would be nice if it worked out of the box ;)

The fix for this was included in the v10 tag, and packaged and released into Fedora 37 as gnome-shell-extension-vertical-overview-10-1.fc37. This issue can be closed.
