Data Connection Problems with Bricked v0.75 on Nexus 4 #138

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

The problem seems to be random. What happens is that usually the data
connection just drops even though the signal is still there. Mobile data is
active but no IP connectivity is possible.

Sometimes it recovers by itself, sometimes only a reboot solves it. Switching
to 2G does not help. Disabling and re-enabling mobile data does not seem to
help. Same for completely disabling radios (airplane mode) and then
re-enabling.

While this can be usually blamed on the ISP, this happened quite a lot in a big
city (Stuttgart) where I never had such problems before. In different parts of
the city too so I doubt it's a problem specific to a certain cell tower.

This happened on a Nexus 4 running AOKP with Bricked kernel v0.75. ISP:
Vodafone Germany.

Could you get me a Log from one of those incidents?

I'll reflash 0.75 then. I plan to spend 2-3 hours in Stuttgart again tomorrow
playing Ingress and I'll give it a try. When you say Log, you mean the kmsg ?

Yes, I primarily need a kmsg, but I wouldn't mind for an additional logcat as
well as long as it's from the same time period as the kmsg.

Sorry for the long delay. At the time I didn't manage to get a kmsg. logcat
showed absolutely nothing.

In any case, I am on 0.77 now and I don't seem to experience this issue
anymore. Either it was a fluke or it got fixed in the meantime. Feel free to
close this :)
