Why should this be included?

Because I'm using your kernels for many ages now, they where always the best 
choice for me, if I've read it corroctly it should be a peace of cake adding 
this to a kernel using these "patches" if you know what your doing. but this 
runs my level of knowledge out by far.. :/

Maybe others are still using their Tilapia as well, as it is one of the devices 
supported from Nethunter (by offensive security) and its pretty anoying to have 
to use a complete stock kernel here.

If you think about adding this feature, please keep in mind its required for 
Android 4.4.4 as Nethunter runs only on KK fully operational.
